Artificial Communism..
Preamble of Indian Constitution says India is Socialist.. And our politicians mock at countries like US for being Capitalistic. Why and how you can say Capitalism is there in US when everyone there can afford luxury.. When there is no such gap between rich and poor. Whereas in communist nations like China and India this gap is widening day by day.. I really appreciate Chidambaram who brought the much needed reforms in 1991. Since then we have seen a lot of changes and today India has become a global force. The recent visit of Prez Bush stands testimony to the India Shining campaign. Signs of change are in the air and soon before we realize India will be a developed nation if communism doesn't interfere with it's fast paced development...

Was it Chidambaram?
I would go with Narsimha Rao. That after reading into what went in the cabinet meetings during those days of change. Though none of them truly believed in what they wr doing but they had to do that coz we wr sitting on almost no gold. Economy cd go bust anytime. This was the only way.
But yes...Manmohan and Chidambaram deserve a lot of praise for the co-operation, when in Chidambaram's case his industrial policies were almost a political suicide for him at that time.
